Pogba is in no hurry to decide the future

Exclusive – Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is in no hurry to decide his future, whether it was at Old Trafford or elsewhere.

The French midfielder has only 12 months left on his current deal, which means he can leave United for nothing next summer – possibly for the second time in his career after leaving Juventus in 2012.

Pogba is managed by the controversial super agent Mino Raiola and he has steered the 2018 World Cup winner to a very strong position with United and his future in general.

United hold talks with Raiola, but 90 minutes could reveal that parts of the Old Trafford hierarchy are still not convinced to give Pogba a new deal that would make him the highest paid player in the Premier League and the first to hit £ 400,000 per week – darkened Kevin De Bruyne’s new deal in Manchester City, which is only worth £ 390,000 per week.

A source with knowledge of the situation has explained that some at United do not believe that Pogba guarantees such a big deal, but others do not want to see the 28-year-old – who costs the club £ 89 million to buy back from Turin – go away for nothing.

“It’s a complicated situation, not everyone agrees,” the source confirmed. “It remains to be seen whether Pogba, even with an offer to make him the highest paid player in England, would agree to stay at Manchester United. . ”

Pogba knows that PSG are interested and can even make a bid this summer, while Real Madrid have a long-term interest. They would rather pick him up for nothing, however, as they did with David Alaba, who they conquered from Bayern Munich this summer.

Juventus’ interest has been revived with Max Alleger’s return to Turin, and he has made it clear that he would love to be reunited with the player. 90min understands that the old lady is very much in Pogba’s thinking.

Those close to the Pogba camp say he is calm because he knows that next season he will earn more than £ 400,000 a week – he just needs to decide if it will be in Manchester, Paris, Madrid or Turin, and if it will be. this summer or next.

United had not considered allowing Pogba to leave this summer when manager Ole Gunnar Soskjaer hoped to get a new player to play behind him and Bruno Fernandes – with everyone like Declan Rice, Eduardo Camavinga and Ruben Neves.

But should Pogba leave, United may need to reconsider some of their summer plans that have already seen them land Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund. They are also well on their way to securing offers for Raphael Varane from Real Madrid and Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid.
