Paulo Dybala was still able to renew his contract with Juventus

After looking set to leave Juventus this summer, Paulo Dybala could still sign new terms with the club if they secure Champions League qualifiers.

The Argentine national team player has undergone a frustrating campaign that has been hampered by injury, even though, when he is fully fit, he was on his side when Andrea Pirlo looks to escape the Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

As contract negotiations between Dybala and the club have stalled in recent months, various reports have indicated that the old lady is preparing to make money on the 27-year-old this summer to avoid the risk of losing him for nothing next year.

In a dramatic event, however, Tuttosport claims that Dybala will meet with the club in May to discuss a new deal.

The reason why the calls have been hung up until you ask? Juve’s first campaign under Pirlo’s management has not exactly gone according to plan, with Inter looking set to notch their first Scudetto since 2010 and end Juve’s nine-year reign as Italian champions.

Not only is the club fired for losing its crown, they are also facing a tough battle to even secure Champions League football for next season, with the fifth placed Napoli hot on the heels of the Old Lady in Serie A.

Should the club take a top four, the riches that come with Champions League qualification will offer them extra money when they look to strike a deal with Dybala at the end of the season.

The reports add that the Argentine has requested a double salary of 7.5 million euros (6.5 million pounds) annual salary to stay at the Allianz Stadium, although talks have stopped because the club refuses to meet his requirements and their current offers are at 10 million. -one year (£ 8.6 million).

Should they secure the Champions League qualifier this season, it seems that they can be some room for maneuver on the said figure and a compromise can be reached.
