Chennaiyin FC have begun their summer recruitment with the signing of defender Narayan Das on a two-year deal.
The 27-year-old left-back holds the record for the second most appearances (107) made by a player in Indian Super League history.

Mostly a left-back, Das has shown his sense of getting up to play on the wings on several occasions in his career, something that is needed given Chennaiyin’s style of play.
“I am very happy to be part of a champions team like Chennaiyin FC. My family and friends are also very happy. It is every player’s dream to help his team win, and I am no different.” he told the Indian Super League official website after his move became official.
“I strive to prove my worth, play every single game and help the club pursue a third Hero ISL title. Even as an opponent, I have always had the atmosphere at Marina Arena, and I want to tell our brilliant fans to continue to support us, because it is their support that gives us extra motivation. “
With over 207 senior appearances in his career, there is no doubt that Das will add the required experience that Chennaiyin needs in terms of leaders in their locker room.
