Man Utd transfer news: Rashford deletes Sancho tweet
Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has denied that he confirmed to a fan on Twitter that the club’s long-standing quest for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is finally complete, suggesting that his account was hacked when the key message was published.
United will get closer and closer to securing a deal for Sancho after first becoming interested in the player in 2019 and failing to reach an agreement with Dortmund during the talks last summer.
Reports this week have revealed that the talks are approaching a positive conclusion. But one fan thought they had received the ultimate confirmation from inside the United camp when they asked Rashford to “announce Sancho” on Twitter.
A response from Rashford’s account simply reads, ‘Yes x’, indicating that the deal was complete.
A little hack and I’m back. Morgon alla ♥ ️ ???????

But the affirmative tweet that appears to be from Rashford has since been removed and the United man took to Twitter the next morning to clarify the situation.
“A little hack and I’m back. Tomorrow everything, he said.
The Sancho deal is not over yet but it is so close that it will probably be soon after England’s participation in Euro 2020 is over.
A report in Germany over the weekend suggested that United have reached an agreement with Dortmund of 85 million euros (£ 73.1 million). However, details of the exact payment structure and supplements still need to be deleted before Sancho can move to Old Trafford.
It is widely believed that personal terms with the player have already been agreed at least informally, although COVID-19 protocols and biosecure squad bubbles will prevent things like a medical being planned until he is no longer linked with England at Euro 2020.

If England are to reach the final of Euro 2020, which is a real possibility after beating Germany in the 16-year-old on Tuesday to advance in the weaker half of the knockout stage – a quarter-final against Ukraine and a potential semi-final against either Denmark or the Czech Republic in the way – Sancho would not be released from international service no earlier than July 12.
But if United could sign a deal in the following days and then send him on a summer break before reporting for duty for the new season, it would be considered a success.
