Liverpool have unveiled their all-new Nike away kit and training equipment that will be worn during the 2021/22 season.
Designers have praised the classic kit 1996/97, which may not have been the most successful season on the field but which easily produced one of the club’s most popular jerseys of all time.
With that jersey as inspiration, Liverpool has stuck to an off-white color and teal, but retains stripes on the collar and socks that are also in the new home jersey.
That stone color is a representation of The Three Graces, the collection of buildings that form the city’s iconic horizon.
In addition to a return to the 1996/97 season, there is also a beautiful tribute to the supporters who lost their lives in the Hillsborough Stadium tragedy that took 96 lives in 1989. The emblem “96” is on the neck, surrounded by eternal flames.

“I think fans will love this one,” midfielder Curtis Jones told the club’s official website. “It is a perfect reflection of the city and you can see inspiration throughout the design with a return to the 90’s.”
Knitted with Nike’s Move to Zero campaign, this shirt is made from 100% recycled polyester fabric, which is made from recycled plastic bottles that are collected, cleaned and melted down for use in the manufacture of shirts for teams around the world.

Liverpool will continue to offer a 10% discount on the shirt to all official members of the club, but this year they have also extended it to key workers via Blue Light and Network, as well as students in the UK through Student Beans.
All fans who buy the away jersey before July 18 will also receive a clothing voucher of £ 10 to spend in the club shop or online between August 1 and September 30.
The new away kit is available for pre-order online here from the official Liverpool FC online store and will generally go on sale in-store and online starting Thursday, July 15, along with the training offer.
