Kasper Schmeichel told ref that laser was aimed at him
Kasper Schmeichel has revealed that he was aware that the laser was pointed at his face by a crowd against England and that he told the judge about it.
Pictures appeared after the match that showed that a green laser shone into the eyes of the Danish goalkeeper during his side’s 2-1 semifinal defeat against Three Lions.
Original theories suggested that the laser may have disturbed Schmeichel in the build-up to Harry Kane’s penalty – a spot kick that the Leicester man saved before Kane knocked home the return – but he has now revealed that it only affected him during the second half of the game and that he told the referee about it.
“Yes [I was aware of the laser]”I did not experience it on the penalty spot because it was behind me on my right side, but I experienced it during the second half,” he told reporters (via Sky Sports). I told the judge and he went to say something to one of the other officials. “
UEFA has now confirmed that England have been accused of the incident, while they have also been accused of “disturbances caused by their supporters during the national anthem” after Three Lions fans proclaimed the Danish national anthem before they started.
England have been accused of inciting unrest during the victory over Denmark, including the use of a laser pointer against Kasper Schmeichel.

Despite having a laser directly in his face during the second half of the clash at Wembley, Schmeichel continued to produce one of the best performances in the tournament as far as he pulled out a series of brilliant saves to keep his side in the game.
The Danish stopper’s fantastic save from a Harry Maguire headline ensured that his team came through to extra time with the score locked at 1-1, and he was hugely unlucky to end up on the losing side when Denmark left the last four stages.
