Harry Kane is considered to face Wolves on Sunday, Tottenham head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has revealed.

The England captain has been heavily linked with a move of over £ 100million to Manchester City in the current transfer window and is reportedly keen to leave Spurs.

For now, however, Kane remains a Tottenham player, and Nuno would like to make the most of the 28-year-old if he’s match-ready, having yet to feature this season.

After training all week, Kane was working again under Nuno’s watchful eye on Friday, with Tottenham returning from an unsuccessful Europa Conference League trip to Portugal.

Speaking the day after a 1-0 loss to Pacos de Ferreira in a play-off to reach UEFA’s tertiary club competition, Nuno stressed that Kane was on his mind, as were all the players who have participated in the training of the first team.

“He trained today. He trained well. He will train tomorrow and tomorrow we will make a decision,” said Nuno.

“I’m so sorry to keep saying the same things, but this is how we work. It’s a day to day situation. Decisions are made when we think we need to make them.

“We’ll decide who’s going to travel tomorrow.”

Nuno, who spent four years as Wolves boss before leaving at the end of last season, was asked if the uncertainty surrounding Kane was fair to him, as the team’s coach.

“Honestly, this is neither unfair nor fair to me, it is reality. Reality has to be taken into account with wise decisions,” Nuno said.

“The decisions we make, we make them day to day, and all the players involved in the training sessions are options for us.”

Kane has scored three goals in his previous five Premier League appearances against Wolves, and Nuno said he was kept informed “every day” of the forward’s situation.

Sunday’s game will be Wolves’ 100th meeting with Spurs. When they last met in May, Spurs won 2-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and this weekend they will set off in search of back-to-back Premier League wins against Wolves for the first time since winning both matches in 2003-04.

Spurs have won 5-2, 2-0 in this campaign against a Wolves side who finished close to the table in their debut Premier League season.

Wolves started that tenure losing 1-0 to Leicester City, and they haven’t lost their first two games of a league season since that disappointing 2003-04 campaign.
