Juventus news: Aaron Ramsey injured last

Aaron Ramsey has suffered a thigh injury, with Juventus not setting a timeline for his potential return.

Ramsey has been plagued by fitness problems since moving to Turin in 2019 after his Arsenal contract expired. He has made just 46 Serie A appearances during his two full seasons at the club, scoring five goals and providing six assists.

His campaign 2021/22 has also had a disappointing start. Ramsey was forced off after an hour during his team’s 2-2 draw against Udinese on Sunday and Juventus have since revealed that it was a thigh strain that forced him away.

“Due to a muscular problem reported at the end of the match against Udinese, Aaron Ramsey underwent diagnostic tests at J | Medical this morning, which revealed a low-grade injury to the adductor’s large muscles in his right thigh. In ten days he will undergo new exams. to precisely define the recovery time, it is stated in a statement from the club.

Fortunately for Juventus boss Max Allegri, who returned to the club in the summer, he is well-filled in midfield. Manuel Locatelli, recently signed from Sassuolo after impressing Italy at Euro 2020, replaced Ramsey on Sunday and he is likely to continue in the role against Empoli this Saturday.

Danilo, who was deployed as a full-back against Udinese, as well as Adrien Rabiot, Weston McKennie and Arthur can also replace Ramsey.

There may be additional midfield reinforcements along the way as well. The lost Barcelona man Miralem Pjanic, who left the club last summer in a swap deal that made Arthur go in the opposite direction, is pushing to move back to Turin.

Pjanic had some of the best years of his career under Allegri and his former boss is expected to welcome his arrival if a deal is possible.
