Tottenham striker Harry Kane is believed to feel that chairman Daniel Levy is refraining from a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ that was made this summer by refuting Manchester City’s transfer interest.
Kane has become frustrated in his boys’ club as a result of failure to challenge big trophies and made his desire to leave known for the hierarchy at the end of last season.
The 28-year-old then did not sign up for training when it was expected earlier this month and was not in the squad for the season’s opening game – ironically a victory over Manchester City at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday. But rumor has it that he participated in the match.
90min was able to report on Sunday that Levy’s attitude has not softened. He continues to insist that Kane is not available for any price and shows no sign of changing his mind.
City’s interest remains strong, but even an improved offer worth up to £ 130 million may still not be enough to attract Spurs chairman to sell.
When the transfer window enters the last two weeks, the Daily Telegraph seems to have informed Kane from the table that he believes that Levy will not honor a meeting in the summer of 2020.
It is said that Kane believes he was promised that he could leave Spurs if the club underperformed during the 2020/21 season, which was the case when they placed seventh in the last Premier League table – their lowest finish since 2009 – and missed both Champions League and Europa League.
The player now feels that Levy has returned to the deal he thought had been signed.
It is also said that Kane believed that Levy had agreed to an extended holiday this summer, which resulted in him signing up for training late and missing the start of the Premier League season. Instead, he feels that a miscommunication from the club has led fans to turn to him.

As it stands now, it is believed that Levy will no longer receive calls from City, despite a willingness from the Premier League champions to pay a British record fee.
Kane remains determined to leave Spurs but wants it to be on good terms, with the fans fully in mind. It is said that he had hoped that his future would be sorted out before he played for England at Euro 2020 and expected that to be the case with his meeting with Levy 12 months earlier.
But both he and City and now quickly run out of time to convince Levy to sell him.
