Guehi near the Palace move
Crystal Palace are signing young Chelsea defender Marc Guehi for a permanent transfer.
The 21-year-old enjoyed an outstanding loan season with Swansea City in the championship last year, made 40 appearances and led the Swans to the final in the final, where they broke against Brentford.

Some fans had been anxious to see Geuhi get a shot in Thomas Tuchel’s first team, but that will not happen as The Athletic notes that Chelsea are set to sell him to Palace permanently.
Chelsea are expected to earn between 15 and 20 million pounds by selling the defender, but basically the blues have protected themselves by negotiating both a sale clause and the ability to match future bids for the defender.
The Blues are well aware that Guehi has the potential to become something special, but when his contract enters into the last two years, the decision has been made to make money on the youngster while his value is still high.
With Chelsea preparing a bid of around £ 150 million for Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, the chance to make a significant fee on an academy player was too good to reject. They rejected the chance to lend Guehi again when it became clear that Palace were willing to pay.
Guehi can even be followed to Selhurst Park by Chelsea team-mate Conor Gallagher, who is available for loan after impressing with West Bromwich Albion last season.
Gallagher, who has four years left on his contract, managed 32 games for the Baggies last season and is seen by many as a potential star in the future, and Chelsea are not ready to release him yet.

Away from the youngsters, Chelsea have a handful of senior loaners whose future needs to be arranged before the season begins.
Tiemoue Bakayoko, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley are some of the biggest names facing uncertain prospects, with Chelsea keeping all their options open as they prepare for what could be a blockbuster for Haaland.
