Dean Henderson’s position on Man Utd’s role and interest from elsewhere
Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is ready to push to move from Old Trafford in the summer if he is not guaranteed a permanent place in the starting line-up.
Henderson has succeeded with only 12 matches in all competitions this season, three of which have come in the Premier League, where Ole Gunnar Solskjær continues to put his trust in the Spaniard David de Gea despite seeing the 30-year-old go through another form.

Henderson was open to leaving the club last summer for fear he would not play enough, but eventually signed a new long-term contract after being convinced he was an important part of United’s future, but he has not yet seen much. proof of that.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Henderson is tired of playing backup to De Gea and is now prepared to force a move away from his boys’ club if he is not guaranteed a starting place next year.
The 23-year-old has made it clear to Solskjaer that he is not happy with his current role in the team, but whether the manager is willing to change is unclear. He has been standing by De Gea ever since his nose dive after the World Cup began and shows no signs of changing his mind yet.

Some in the boardroom at Old Trafford regret the decision to give De Gea a club-high £ 375,000 a week contract in 2019 and think he should be sold before his value deteriorates further. Tottenham, Chelsea and West Ham United have all expressed interest in Henderson, who is expected to cost £ 40m somewhere in the region if he is sold.
Solskjaer has always insisted that Henderson become United’s next starting goalkeeper when the club moves from De Gea, but whether he will make that change this summer is unclear.
His hands may be tied by De Gea’s high salaries. United do not want to pay a reserve goalkeeper of £ 375,000 a week, but they will also struggle to find someone willing to come anywhere near that if they were to sign him.

Club officials are already preparing to sit down and discuss trimming the number of goalkeepers at the club in an attempt to save some money. United spend almost £ 600,000 a week on goalkeepers, but selling Henderson would free up a lot of funds and De Gea more.
Senior stoppers Sergio Romero and Lee Grant are both expected to be released, with Grant moving into a coaching role instead, while academy goalkeepers Joel Pereira and Paul Woolston could both walk towards the front door as well.
