Barnes signs a new four-year contract

Leicester winger Harvey Barnes has signed a new four-year contract at King Power Stadium.

The 23-year-old was in glittering form during the 2020/21 season and was undoubtedly in a good position to be called up to England’s Euro 2020 team, if he had not suffered an injury towards the end of the season.

Now that he was in shape again, Barnes started Leicester’s first victory against Wolves and has been rewarded for his performances with a new and improved contract.

“I’ve been here for so many years now, it feels like home. For me it was a good idea. Of course I wanted to extend my stay here,” Barnes told Leicester’s club channel.

“It has been something that has been going on in the background and signing now is fantastic. It’s just the beginning of a new season too, which I know everyone is happy about. ”
