Ansu Fati is finally making progress with knee injury
It’s been a long time coming, but Barcelona’s winger Ansu Fati has finally made some progress in his recovery from a knee injury.
Since the 18-year-old went down with the injury in November, he has had two knee surgeries – none of which actually solved the problem – and he has desperately tried to avoid a risky third that would solve the problem, but also leave him susceptible to more problems.

Fati had been advised to go under the knife to remove the meniscus in the knee completely after previous surgeries failed to repair it, but he does not want to take such a risk at this early stage of his career and has sought advice from everyone all over the world.
Fortunately, according to RAC1, Fati has stumbled upon a treatment that actually seems to work, and for the first time in months, he can imagine returning to the team.
It is noted that Fati will travel with the rest of Ronald Koeman’s squad for Saturday’s Copa del Rey final against Athletic Club, which only lost the 2020 competition a few weeks ago after COVID-19 was chaos in the calendar.
However, there is no chance that Fati will play in that game. The 18-year-old has been out for so long and suffered so many serious setbacks that neither he nor Barcelona take any risks. Until he is 100%, he does not play a single minute.
Seen as one of the best young players around, Fati’s recovery has been of the utmost importance for Barcelona, who believe they have a £ 100 million player and want to make sure he lives up to his potential.
Due to their caution, Fati may not play again before the end of the season, which means that his involvement in this summer’s European Championships is doubtful, but a summer free in exchange for a long, successful career does not sound so bad of a trade.
This news comes as a huge boost for Fati, who realized that he was in so much pain recently that he could not even sleep properly. There is still a long way to go, but for the first time in forever, the winger is fine.

Barcelona also hope that Brazilian striker Philippe Coutinho will be healthy enough to return before the end of the season.
The 28-year-old has had his own complicated knee problem, but fortunately the second operation he underwent was a success and he has worked on his condition in Brazil before a possible return to Camp Nou.
