Ali Krieger’s Communication to the LGBTQ + Community

Orlando City and US women’s national team star Ali Krieger offered words of wisdom to the LGBTQ + community in the latest episode of The Call Up.

The USWNT defender has long been part of the LGBTQ + community and constantly advocates while offering support both on and off the field. In the past, Krieger and his wife, USWNT member and Orlando City goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris, have spoken out in hopes of raising awareness and destroying the stigma surrounding LGBTQ + in sports.

At the end of Pride Month, Krieger turned his attention to young athletes in the community.

“I think this is so important for many of our younger athletes and younger children who are part of our LGBTQ community to feel that they are living their authentic lives and living life to the fullest and feeling appreciated and appreciated and supported,” he said. Warrior.

“I just want to say that there is such an amazing community out here waiting for you who will love you. I know it’s very difficult to take the next step and really live your truth but I feel there is such an incredible world for you to explore because there are so many people who will love you for you and no one can live your life better than you can live it. “

During the interview, Krieger spoke about the responsibility that comes with being a role model for society. She added that she and Harris want to continue to remain public to make others equally comfortable.

“I really feel that it’s so important that we have people in this world who are individuals who truly live their authentic lives and inspire other people to want to do the same.

“And I hope that with Ash and now with our daughter Sloane, we have helped save some people from believing that they can not have a happy ending and that they may not deserve it and perhaps by seeing us live our authentic lives. they feel that they too can have good things and that they deserve great things because of who they are and just because of who they love and what they love.
