A division of Sweden’s starlet Alexander Isak’s future
Sweden’s excursions so far at Euro 2020 have hardly been ticket sales, but one man who makes his bets must see events is Alexander Isak.
Real Sociedad going forward turns out to be one of the stars of the tournament – just as we predicted as part of the Our 21 series – and it will come as no surprise to hear that speculation about his future is starting to grow.
While a lot of big clubs have been linked to a move for the 21-year-old, it is much more complicated to secure his signature than you might think, so 90 minutes has done you a favor and broken down the child’s current situation …

Isak was hardly an unknown quantity on his way into Euro 2020 – with his second season at Real Sociedad he saw an impressive 17 goals scored in 34 La Liga excursions – although more and more clubs have started monitoring his performances in recent weeks.
Liverpool have been strongly linked with a move for the frontman as Jurgen Klopp is chasing Roberto Firmino’s successor, while other Premier League clubs Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been hailed as potential suitors.
Given his fantastic performances in Spain, it will probably come as no surprise to hear that some of La Liga’s biggest sides are also sniffing around Isak, where Barcelona are constantly linked to a move forward in recent months.

Do you remember the part where we said that his situation was a little more complicated than you might think? Yes, this is the part.
When Dortmund sold Isak to Sociedad in 2019, the German side included a repurchase clause in their contract which meant that they could write about him 30 million euros (25.7 million pounds).
Given that Erling Haaland’s future is up in the air and Isak has developed rapidly since he left, you would think that they would call Sociedad very soon – but that is not the case.
Sport1 reports that Sociedad is negotiating to buy out the repurchase clause, where Der BVB’s sports director Michael Zorc confirms that both clubs are working on a joint solution. We are in a good mood for it to work ‘.

Seems like a bit of a silly question considering they are in talks to remove his repurchase clause, but Real Sociedad absolutely do not want to be separated from the talented striker.
Mundo Deportivo reports that Sociedad could remove Dortmund’s repurchase clause for as little as € 3 million – € 4 million (€ 2.6 million – € 3.4 million) and it is unlikely there will be any hiccups along the way with it. The German side they hold does not want to write about Sweden’s international.
However, Isaac’s current deal also includes a release clause of 70 million euros (60 million pounds) and the Spanish side is desperate for him to agree on the terms of a new contract to avoid losing him.

A number of reports claim that Isak is happy with Real Sociedad and does not intend to leave the club.
But while Marca claims that the club is convinced that an agreement will be reached in the near future, they add that Isaac’s commitments to his national side could cause a small problem.
Negotiations have been set against the back burner while the forward represents Sweden at Euro 2020, and Sociedad is growing increasingly worried that his release clause will be triggered in the coming weeks and they will then be powerless to prevent the youngster from being lured away.
