In the second sequence, the Cotonou Public Prosecutor’s Office sent them to the First Bureau of Investigation, given that the facts against the accused are of a criminal nature. They were led to the judge, but it did not go far. Suddenly they come back on Monday.

Mr Sunday has dismissed allegations by the Nigerian government, which presents him to the Benin authorities as an arms smuggler and detainee.

He declared that he was not a terrorist and indicated that he feared for his life upon extradition. Several Nigerians established in Cotonou and came from Lagos were present at the prosecution’s premises.

What do we know about Yoruba’s separatist movement? We talk more often about Biafran’s separators.

For his supporters, Sunday Igboho is a defender of the Yoruba people’s rights against the Fulani shepherds. For his opponents, he advocates racial hatred. Adedayo Ademuwagun, an analyst at the Songhai Advisory Board, believes that the Nigerian authorities should be afraid of him.
