At the end of February 2022, the Malian presidential election will in principle be held. According to our information, he is preparing for it, so he needs an election machine. However, the URD texts are clear: to be the party’s candidate in the presidential election, you must be an activist in a grassroots committee. Boubou Cissé must now show his ability to gather the party’s structures around his name. He has strengths. Among his supporters are party heavyweights. But others remain to be convinced and this will be crucial.
