For the first time since his return to the country, Hama Amadou spoke of the rejection of his candidacy by the Constitutional Court: “My candidacy was invalid, it is true, by the Constitutional Court and I know why. Quite simply, if I were to participate in the race, some would be very uncomfortable. “The main opponent, Hama Amadou, was disqualified due to his criminal case and his 2017 conviction for human trafficking in Nigerian children.
All election deadlines
His Lumana-Fa party will take part in all election events. According to Hama Amadou, the presidential election will be followed very closely by the Nigerian opposition: “Lumana-Africa is not losing interest in the presidential election. We take our responsibility and make sure to fight. And I want our activists to fight so that we can definitely overthrow PNDS when we make our choice ”.
Objective: majority in the National Assembly
After boycotting the work of all authorities in the run-up to the election, Hama Amadou returns to the indictment: “We will participate fully in these elections under the conditions they want. When the time comes, we will say for whom. Finally, in order to complete its strategy of regaining power, Hama Amadou and his allies hope to gain a majority in the National Assembly. In the last presidential election, the ruling party, the Nigerian Party for Democracy and Socialism (PNDS), had 75 members of parliament.
