opening of a busy parliamentary session

Parliamentary activities resume on Monday 15 March. The regular session in March is eagerly awaited in the country. It comes in the wake of political change and the overthrow of the majority. It is now the sacred union of the nation that replaces the FCC / Cach coalition.

as reported from Kinshasa, Commander Muzembe Commander

This new start will be marked by the appointment of a government of the Union dedicated to the nation, the team of Prime Minister Sama Lukonde. One of the important items on the agenda for this ordinary session is the presentation and the investment. The Prime Minister already appointed had to hear the various components of Congolese society, political actors, members of civil society and other personalities who subscribed to the vision of President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi.

Other items are on the agenda and they risk being divisive, especially with the renewal of the Independent National Electoral Commission. The issue has been under discussion in Parliament since October. Who will replace Corneille Nangaa at the helm of Ceni? The various components of civil society did not reach agreement. An official from a religious community is asking for more visibility on this issue and condemns the FCC’s attempts to impose Ronsard Malonda through revival churches. Other preconditions are expected, such as a census or identification of the population for the elections in 2023. The debate is open for this ordinary session in March
