fractures occur in daylight within the FCC, Kabila camp

The party of former President Joseph Kabila has just suffered a crushing defeat in the congregation after President Jeannine Mabunda was fired. After this setback, six senators sent a memorandum to Joseph Kabila, listing a number of dysfunctions within the party and violently attacking the coordination of the FCC, from which they are demanding resignation.

The six senators are not locked up. They condemn favoritism, nepotism, authoritarianism, mismanagement and lack of strategy. For them, no previous recommendation has been considered and it is time to start “shock therapy”.

The culprit is all according to them: the coordination of the movement and its “catastrophic management”. The treatment therefore involves his resignation, the arrival of a new team and the convening of a presidential conference for questioning. “There is a real risk of fracture. There are many accumulated frustrations, says one member by the FCC.

Nehemiah Mwilanya in the heart of the storm

The memorandum is not named for him, but it is Néhémie Mwilanya, coordinator of the Common Front for Congo, who seems targeted. This document looks like a personal settlement of accounts. We can feel the hatred and manipulation behind it, says a representative of Kabila who does not approve of the senators’ method. “The FCC is suffering from an unprecedented crisis. This memorandum plays the game of our opponents and weakens us when it’s time to close, says the elected official. He adds that the coordinator plays the role of scapegoat when he is far from responsible for everything.

Contacted, Nehemiah Mwilanya, but also several FCC officials and senators who wrote the memorandum, did not respond to requests. An employee trusts that the document should never have been leaked.
