before the congress, Félix Tshisekedi makes a somewhat brilliant assessment

In front of the two chambers of Congress, Congolese President Félix Tshisekedi presented a mixed assessment of government action during his speech on the state of the nation.

as reported from Kinshasa, Patient Ligodi

Félix Tshisekedi appeared before the deputies and senators in one context marked by the end of the coalition he composed with the FCC, the platform of its predecessor Joseph Kabila. He did not make a big announcement. He contented himself with making a mixed assessment of the government’s measures for the current year.

According to him, the dysfunction of the alliance he had created with his predecessor Joseph Kabila did not make it possible to achieve the goals set at the beginning of his five-year term. “Despite the efforts I have made, the sacrifices I have made and the humiliations I have tolerated, it has not been enough to make this coalition work smoothly. This has not prevented the emergence of difficulties of all kinds within it, which makes it uncertain whether the change that our people demand will be realized, “he explained.

To rectify the situation, he announced that he would “continue with the formation of a government for the Holy Union of the Nation that will work in harmony with the Head of State” at the end of the informant’s work. Soon appointed, this informant will be responsible for identifying a new majority coalition in the National Assembly.

It will also be up to this new government to implement the reforms that follow from the political consultation it has carried out for about three weeks.
