Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford is leaning towards the idea of undergoing shoulder surgery, which has plagued him since November.

England’s international has been dealing with the issue for the past nine months but has struggled in recent weeks and has considered finally going under the knife to address the issue.

Rashford has now returned from his Euro 2020 holiday and is ready to return to United, where he will discuss his options with the club. According to the Daily Mail, he is pushing to get the procedure completed.
Rashford has been relieved by the news that muscle tears are unlikely to get worse but he is keen to get the problem fixed once and for all, after needing painkillers to cope last season.
He will discuss the situation with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at United’s Carrington training ground on Tuesday, and he is hopeful of getting the green light to continue the operation, although it will keep him away for about three months.
Surgery would mean that Rashford could miss the first 11 games of United’s new season, which is not perfect for Solskjaer as he already faces the prospect of being without left-back Luke Shaw, who suffered a rib injury at Euro 2020.
Anthony Martial is also breastfeeding a knee injury that ended his 2020/21 season prematurely, so Solskjaer may need to get creative with his first lineup for the season.

Off the field, Rashford has continued his role as a national treasure by donating more money to a local food bank in Manchester.
His local community in Withington helped raise money to repair the mural of Rashford, which was removed after his miss in the Euro 2020 final, and Rashford confirmed on Twitter that close to £ 40,000 of this will be handed over directly to Fare Share.
