Belgium vs Italy: Italy predicted lineup

Italy is fighting for its first Euro title since 1968, but they have to go through Belgium to keep the dream alive.

With France out of the tournament, this is undoubtedly a battle between the two favorites to lift the trophy, and Italy will know that they must be at their best to survive against Roberto Martinez’s Red Devils.

This is how they can line up.

Gianluigi Donnarumma (GK) – The upcoming PSG man conceded his first goal of the summer last time against Austria, so he will be determined to get a clean sheet again.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo (RB) – Di Lorenzo started a ridiculous run against Austria and deserves to keep his place in the squad just for that highlight.

Leonardo Bonucci (CB) – One of this summer’s best defenders, Captain Bonucci, will not be lost anytime soon.

Giorgio Chiellini (CB) – After missing the matches against Wales and Austria, veteran Chiellini is expected to start in Munich instead of Francesco Acerbi.

Leonardo Spinazzola (LB) – Few players come from Euro 2020 with the kind of boost to their stock that Spinazzola has had. He has been brilliant.

Marco Verratti (CM) – Verratti did a champion class against Austria and already has some of Euro 2020’s best creative statistics, even though he barely even played.

Jorginho (CM) – The Chelsea man has taken his game to new heights this summer and looks incredibly dangerous when he is on the ball.

Matteo Pessina (CM) – Pessina beat the winner against Wales and then came off the bench to make the decisive strike against Austria. He deserves a start more than anyone else.

Domenico Berardi (RW) – Now linked to a move to Leicester City, all eyes will be on Berardi, who hopes to be able to start over in the form of Federico Chiesa.

Ciro Immobile (ST) – Against an attacking team like Belgium, Immobile hopes to get a little more space and can finally start showing what kind of productive form we all know is out there somewhere.

Lorenzo Insigne (LW) – He can cut in and shoot on his right foot a little too often, but Insigne is still Italy’s best winger.
