Ryan Jack “completely cleared” when injuries occur
Ryan Jack has revealed his frustration at being out of injury since February and says he is “completely worn out” for missing so much of Rangers’ triumphant league campaign.
The midfielder was a surprising inclusion in Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad for their international in March – after not playing for his club since February 21 – although he was later forced to retire due to a giggling calf issue.
The 29-year-old had to watch from the sidelines when Rangers took their first Sottish Premiership title since 2011 in March, and he took to his personal Instagram page to express his frustration at being out for so long, adding that he could not wait with starting to play again.
“Completely cleared to still be injured, it’s been frustrating for a few months. Can’t wait to put on this shirt again,” he wrote.
Rangers assistant manager Gary McAllister recently gave an update on the midfielder’s training issues.
“Ryan has been down in London to see some specialists,” he told the Scottish Sun. “We’re obviously just trying to get further investigations to get to the bottom of Ryan’s problem, so we’re waiting for the results.”

The right-back has been in brilliant form this season – scoring 11 goals and 10 assists in his 29 Scottish Premier League appearances – and he was a huge miss when Rangers were dumped out of the Europa League last 16 by Slavia Prague last month.
McAllister confirmed that the 29-year-old is now back in training with his teammates and that his return to the first team should not be too far away.
“The positive thing about Tav is that he is back in the grass and it was nice to see yesterday. He is out training on his own with the physiotherapists but it is very positive. He’s getting closer and closer. “
