Among the heads of state present were the Ghanaian Nana Akufo-Addo, also the current president of ECOWAS, Idriss Déby from Chad, Denis Sassou-Nguesso from Congo and Georges Weah from Liberia. On the other hand, among those absent were first and foremost direct neighbors of Guinea, such as Alassane Ouattara, President of Côte d’Ivoire, Macky Sall, Senegal, and Umaro Sissoco Embaló, Head of State of Guinea-Bissau. .

In the room, the President of the Constitutional Court, as tradition dictates, asked President Condé: “Mr President of the Republic, please raise your right hand and take the oath provided for in Article 48 of the Constitution”.
And like 2010 and 2015, Alpha Condé recited: “I, Alpha Condé, President of the Republic elected in accordance with the Constitution, I swear before the Guinean people and in my honor to respect and ensure respect for the provisions of the Constitution, the laws and court decisions”.
Alpha Condé will be installed in the office on December 21.
