Omolulu Akinlolu, a 38-year-old citizen of the United States, faces a charge of grievous bodily harm with intent. He is scheduled to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court this Saturday, as confirmed by the Metropolitan Police.
Both Akinlolu and Mr. Brown are linked to an incident that reportedly occurred at the Tape venue in Hanover Square, Mayfair, on February 19, 2023.
In a development on Thursday, Chris Brown, 36, was also charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and made a court appearance at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Friday. As the court proceedings unfolded, it was revealed that the complainant, Abraham Diaw, was near the bar when he was struck multiple times with a bottle and then chased to another area of the nightclub, where he endured further physical assault.
During the proceedings, Chris Brown was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Southwark Crown Court in London on June 13. In a notable turn of events, the singer reportedly arrived at Manchester Airport on a private jet on Wednesday afternoon, gearing up for tour dates in the UK slated for June and July.
He was apprehended at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester at 2 a.m. on Thursday by detectives from the Metropolitan Police.
As the saying goes, “Every action has consequences.” How this incident unfolds in the courts will be closely monitored as both individuals prepare to face the legal system.
