Anthony Martial was ridiculed by Thibaut Courtois
As a professional football player, you will probably get used to being told and moaned by the club’s fans when things do not really go your way.

While the criticism from your own fans will obviously hurt, it may be even worse than what rival club supporters laugh at your misfortune.
Still, it’s at least nice to know that other professional players know exactly what you’m going through and would never even consider joking around with you. Right?
No, no, not exactly.
Since moving to Manchester United in 2015 for a deal potentially worth as much as £ 58 million – a record fee paid to a teenager at the time – Anthony Martial has not really lived up to the hype surrounding him after his debut goal against Liverpool hype created almost entirely by Martin Tyler’s strange orgasmic reaction to his goal by the way.
The Frenchman has flirted with the possibility of being a very good player, but in all honesty he only looks a little uninterested sometimes.

Martial collected just four Premier League goals last season and it seems that some of his professional colleagues are also taking the opportunity to mock his fall from grace.
Belgian duo Jan Vertonghen and Thibaut Courtois recently treated fans at a Q&A session (via Instant Foot) – with the former Tottenham defender throwing a seemingly mundane question at his teammate.
Vertonghen asked Courtois which star player missed Euro 2020 and after the former Chelsea man failed to pick up a name other than Sergio Ramos, his teammate helped him with a list of possible answers.
Among others, Erling Haaland, Virgil van Dijk, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Jan Oblak were mentioned, but still Courtois could not hide his surprise at the mention of Martial and replied sarcastically: “Martial? He is a star player?”

Clearly baffled by his teammate’s response, Vertonghen just offered a weird little embarrassed giggle – the kind of sound you make when one of your colleagues makes a really inappropriate joke but you’re obviously petrified by confrontation so just laugh with it anyway before you ever run away talk to them again.
Poor Anthony. Anyway, nice to know that Thibaut Courtois absolutely does not respect the code of conduct for football.
