The FAI has already been forced to inform UEFA that they can not guarantee spectators to attend the matches because they are played at Ireland’s Aviva Stadium, which casts doubt on their role as hosts of the tournament.
The Times reports, however, that the FA has informed UEFA that they can assure them that 22,500 fans (25% of Wembley’s capacity) will be allowed to attend Wembley for the matches scheduled to be played at England’s national stadium, meaning fans will be present. for all of England’s three group games.
The FA has not yet revealed its plan for how many fans will be allowed to participate in the semi-finals and finals of the competition, although it is hoped that the games will be played with at least 50% of the ground capacity (45,000) occupied.
England play Croatia on June 13, Scotland on June 18 and the Czech Republic on June 22, and although the latter of their matches will be played after lockdown restrictions are further eased on June 21, the planned attendance remains at 22,500.

SFA has also outlined plans for their participation in hosting the event, with 12,750 fans allowed to attend matches at Hampden Park.
Meanwhile, Ireland is not the only country facing the prospect of losing its Euro 2020 co-host status, with Spain and Italy the most notable countries yet to give UEFA any guarantees of fan participation this summer.
During the meeting with UEFA, a number of countries suggested the possibility for fans to have to prove vaccination before participating in the events, but no concrete plans have yet been presented.
