Iraq on Monday condemned Iranian and Turkish assaults on its northern Kurdistan area, state information company INA reported, citing a overseas ministry assertion.

“The repeated attacks carried out by Iranian and Turkish forces with missiles and drones against the Kurdistan region are a violation of Iraq’s sovereignty,” the assertion added.

Iran focused the headquarters of what it known as “dissident groups” in Iraqi Kurdistan early Monday, whereas Turkish warplanes had already carried out strikes in Syria and Iraq on Sunday, destroying targets linked to the outlawed Kurdistan Staff’ Get together (PKK).
