The Future Of Zimbabwe Elections: Mnangagwa's Continuity Or Chamisa's Victory?

Leaders of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), who participated in the SADC Summit in Luanda, Angola, expressed optimism about the upcoming elections in Zimbabwe, Eswatini, Madagascar, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), all scheduled to take place in the last quarter of this year.

The Zimbabwean elections are set to be held next week on August 23, followed by Eswatini’s Tinkhundla electoral system on September 29, Madagascar on November 9, and the DRC on December 20.

Among the attendees of the summit were Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa, Eswatini’s King Mswati III, and DRC President Felix Tshisekedi. However, Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina did not attend the summit.
