Spurs Coach Postecoglou Expresses Disapproval of Bayern’s Approach in Acquiring Kane
Tottenham’s freshly appointed manager, Ange Postecoglou, expressed his displeasure with Bayern Munich’s tactics in their pursuit of Harry Kane. When asked about the German club’s interest in the striker during a press conference, Postecoglou made it clear that he would never discuss players who are not under his direct control.
In their final pre-season friendly, Tottenham dominated Shakhtar Donetsk with a 5-1 victory. Notably, Harry Kane scored four out of those five goals, fueling the ongoing speculation of his potential move to Bayern Munich.

Following the match, Postecoglou addressed the rumors surrounding Kane’s future in the Bundesliga. He subtly indicated his disapproval of the German team’s approach to the matter.
“I prefer not to discuss players who have existing contracts with other clubs, but ultimately, I am not Bayern. They possess the freedom to act as they wish,” declared Postecoglou.
Despite the ongoing speculation regarding Kane’s departure, the manager remains steadfast in his commitment to the team. He assured, “I never had any doubts about including him in the squad. It was not necessary for him to inform me. His involvement in our collective efforts is evident, and we will continue in the same vein unless circumstances change.”
Postecoglou commended Kane’s exceptional performance with the four goals he scored and indirectly encouraged him to maintain his current form. “He is undeniably a world-class player, and our team’s style of play will undoubtedly benefit his abilities. The transfer window serves as the deadline for any potential developments,” added Postecoglou.
