Chelsea’s Azpilicueta breaks silence after being injured: “It’s time to recover”
Cesar Azpilicueta spoke out on social media after the incident he suffered within the match in opposition to Southampton. The Chelsea defender posted a message to thank all of the assist he’s receiving.
Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta was stretchered off and given oxygen at his part’s match in opposition to Southampton on Saturday after receiving a huge kick to the face.

Even so, the Spanish footballer has regained his smile hours after he was admitted to hospital. The defender was acutely aware and capable to check with his spouse, in spite of the fact that he suffered from complications for the duration of the evening.
“He’s conscious in hospital and he’s been speaking to his wife. We’re monitoring him and making sure he’s okay. I think he was unconscious at one point, so it was worrying for everyone. It was accidental but still it was a kick in the face. You can see how bad it was,” Chelsea coach Graham Potter reported after the conflict.
Azpilicueta posted a message of thanks on social media on Sunday. The Spain worldwide needed to indicate his circumstance and thank the assist he’s receiving: “Hello everybody! Thanks all to your love and messages of assist! My spouse and children and I would really like to thank everybody who has been taking care of me since yesterday’s incident.
“From the Chelsea medical team, to teammates and opponents, to St Mary’s and Cleveland Hospital and all staff members and doctors: a massive thank you from the bottom of my heart. Now, time to recover and I will see you soon on the pitch,” he wrote.
