Somali Special Forces eliminate 47 al Shabab militants in southern Somalia

In a recent military operation in southern Somalia, Somali Special Forces, who received training from the United States, successfully eliminated 47 members of the al-Shabab militant group. The operation, led by Commander Arab Dheeg Ahmed of the 5th unit of the Danab commandos, took place in the Yaq dabey area of the Lower Jubba region. Not only did the Special Forces neutralize the militants, but they also completely destroyed their positions.

Commander Arab Dheeg Ahmed emphasized the significance of this operation, stating that the 5th unit of the commandos conducted thorough operations in the Lower Jubba region to eradicate criminals hiding within the forest. This proactive approach aims to prevent any malicious schemes directed towards the Somali people.

This operation coincides with the intensified efforts of the Somali National Army (SNA) to combat al-Shabab and pave the way for the liberation of Galmudug and Hirshabelle States.
