In a solemn event held in Dhusamareb, the Somali military court administered justice by executing an ex-military officer. This lawful action was taken in response to his dreadful act of murdering a fellow soldier in Harardhere, an area situated in the north-central Mudug region of Somalia.
Following a fair trial, Sharif Abshir Abdirahman Jama was convicted for the heinous crime committed against Said Abdi Shabel on September 11, 2023. The execution was meticulously carried out in the Harardhere district, underscoring the seriousness of the penalty imposed.
Speaking on behalf of the prosecution, an official declared that this act serves as a stern reminder to all armed forces, emphasizing the importance of directing their efforts towards the true enemies and not against each other.
The Armed Forces Court has consistently demonstrated its commitment to upholding justice by delivering punishments to soldiers who engage in violent acts against both civilians and their fellow colleagues within Somalia.
