PM emphasizes Qatar’s commitment to Somalia’s welfare

On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, an important meeting took place between His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani, and the Prime Minister of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre. The meeting, which was held at the Amiri Diwan on Tuesday, aimed to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and discuss the latest developments in Somalia.

During the meeting, HE Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed Qatar’s unwavering support for Somalia. He emphasized Qatar’s commitment to assisting state institutions and all endeavors aimed at achieving security, stability, and safeguarding the country’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.

In response, the Somali Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to Qatar for its continuous support across various sectors.

The meeting saw the presence of several ministers and high-ranking officials from both Qatar and Somalia, highlighting the significance attached to this encounter.
