During his conversation with ‘talkSPORT’, Martin Keown, an Arsenal legend, discussed the current predicament of the 30-year-old and expressed his belief that Maguire is unfairly targeted as a scapegoat by Manchester United’s fans.
“I firmly believe that Maguire receives an excessive amount of unwarranted criticism. He has become a convenient target for Manchester United supporters. Since his absence from the team, I don’t think there has been much improvement,” Keown stated.
Keown further added, “When we talk about exploiting defensive weaknesses in teams, I believe that is something that can be done against Manchester United at the moment. The main issue lies in the midfield, and Harry Maguire is not necessarily the root of the problem.”
