No Hints Of Speculation About Salah's Connection To Saudi Arabia, Clarifies Klopp

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, dismissed the rumors surrounding Mohamed Salah’s potential move to Saudi Arabia. It has been reported that Al-Ittihad is attempting to tempt the Egyptian with a lucrative salary offer, similar to the deals that enticed Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar to the Gulf country.

Salah recently signed a three-year contract extension with Liverpool, and his agent has previously denied any speculation about a transfer. Ramy Abbas, Salah’s agent, stated, “If we were considering leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed remains committed to LFC.”

Liverpool has already been affected by the departures of midfielders Fabinho and Jordan Henderson to Saudi clubs. However, Klopp asserted that the club would not entertain any offers for Salah. When asked about the media stories surrounding Salah’s potential move, Klopp said, “There is nothing to talk about from my point of view. Mo Salah is a Liverpool player. He is an essential player, was and will be. If there was something, the answer would be no.”

Wataru Endo, the captain of the Japanese national team, could make his first start for Liverpool against Newcastle. He appeared as a substitute in the previous match against Bournemouth, which Liverpool won 3-1.

Liverpool’s failure to secure the signings of Moises Caicedo or Romeo Lavia before turning to Endo has received criticism regarding their transfer business. Klopp acknowledged that additional reinforcements may be needed in the final week of the transfer window or rely on luck with injuries in the coming months. He said, “We have to be lucky with injuries. I have no doubt about the quality of the boys we have. In this moment, we are covered, but we have had to learn from the past that we can’t be prepared for every situation.”

Klopp added, “We have to try our best for next week. Is it possible to have a squad where we can react to pretty much everything? We will see.”
