Mozambique: Renamo Plans Demonstrations on Tuesday Across 65 Municipalities

[Centro de Integridade Publica] Renamo’s Political Commission has urged citizens to participate in peaceful demonstrations across all 65 municipalities on Tuesday. Following an extraordinary session held today (Sunday 15 October), the Commission determined that the recent elections were tainted by extensive fraud and claimed victory. Accusing President Nyusi and the Frelimo party, the Political Commission alleges that they masterminded the manipulation of election results to unlawfully maintain their hold on power, thus fomenting a potential state of conflict.
