Mariano's Signing Is Being Insisted Upon By Lazio From Madrid

According to ‘Corriere dello Sport’, Lazio has plans to acquire Mariano Diaz for the forthcoming season. Diaz’s contract with Real Madrid is expiring on June 30th and the situation points to his departure from the Santiago Bernabeu.

Lazio is keen on signing the striker and the process will be made simpler due to the player’s contractual position.

Both ‘Corriere dello Sport’ and ‘Il Tempo’ have confirmed that Diaz is at the top of Maurizio Sarri’s list of prospective candidates to strengthen the Roman offense for the approaching season. Diaz’s current contract with Real Madrid is set to expire on June 30th. The lack of playtime and issues with Carlo Ancelotti are the reasons why Diaz’s renewal with Madrid is not possible.

According to the aforementioned media sources, Lazio is also considering other options including Federico Bonazzoli, Ferran Jutgla, and Enes Unal. The Getafe striker, Unal, was recently injured during the Turkey-Armenia match.

Mariano Diaz has only played in nine games this season, and with his goal drought of 57 minutes, it is unlikely that he will be able to secure a renewal with Madrid. Thus, his exit from Real Madrid seems inevitable.
