Mallorca and Sevilla express interest in Holding from Arsenal; potential transfer likely
Despite the impending close of the summer transfer window, Arsenal is still actively seeking a new destination for Rob Holding. The talented English center-back, who is not part of Mikel Arteta’s plans for the current season, is eager to leave the North London club in search of more consistent playing time.
Despite his lengthy tenure at Arsenal spanning over seven seasons, Holding has never been able to secure a regular starting position at the prestigious Emirates Stadium. However, this presents Arteta with a final opportunity to generate some financial return for Holding’s transfer, as the defender’s contract runs until 2024.
Despite his limited appearances under the Spanish coach during the previous season, Holding has attracted interest from various clubs. La Liga sides Sevilla and Mallorca have approached Arsenal to discuss the terms of a potential deal for the former Bolton Wanderers player. Although time is running out in the transfer window, Arsenal remains hopeful that they can secure a satisfactory agreement for Holding’s departure.
