Madrid refuses to acquire a defender for the injured Militao
Based on reports from ‘El Partidazo de COPE’, Real Madrid will not be active in the summer transfer market to find a replacement for injured centre-back Eder Militao. The team will rely on their current players and, if necessary, call up members from their reserve team, Castilla.
Real Madrid’s victory of 2-0 against Bilbao in their opening La Liga match was not without setbacks. Defender Eder Militao was forced to leave the game due to a knee injury, which appeared to be serious.

On Sunday morning, it was confirmed that Militao had torn his ACL, joining goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois who suffered the same injury during training just two days earlier. Both players are expected to miss a significant portion, if not the entirety, of the upcoming season.
Speculation quickly circulated regarding who Real Madrid might acquire to fill the void left by the injured defender. Sergio Ramos, the former captain, was one name that emerged as a potential returnee to the team.
However, according to information from ‘El Partidazo de COPE’, the Spanish giants are not planning to explore the possibilities in the summer transfer market for an emergency centre-back. Instead, they will utilize the existing players in their squad and, if necessary, turn to RM Castila to address the gap.
