“Leaving Madrid is easy, returning is a challenge”
Sergio Arribas, the star player of Madrid’s reserve team, may be considering leaving in order to gain more playing time, according to his father, Enrique Arribas, who recently gave an interview to ‘AS’. Enrique Arribas emphasized that while leaving Madrid is always a possibility, returning is much more difficult.
Sergio Arribas, a highly promising graduate of Real Madrid’s youth academy, has already made a name for himself, having been a standout player at the recent Club World Cup. His father stresses the importance of maintaining a grounded attitude despite his successes.
Enrique Arribas also spoke about his son’s debut for Zinedine Zidane’s team, recalling how he had encouraged him and predicted his success. Sergio Arribas is now playing under the orders of another idol of his, Raul Gonzalez Blanco, in the reserve team. However, his father pointed out that not all coaches have been as supportive of his son’s talents, as was the case with Carlo Ancelotti.
Despite the challenges, Sergio Arribas has had an exceptional season, scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists in the 30 games he has played between Madrid Castilla and the first team.
