Hormuud Salaam Foundation Grants Full Scholarships to 37 Exceptional Students

In an extraordinary accomplishment, 37 exceptional students have been awarded the prestigious Hormuud Salaam Foundation scholarships.

These outstanding individuals secured the highest scores in a highly competitive and transparent examination that had 400 high school graduates from all over the country competing for the esteemed scholarship.

Renowned for its unwavering commitment to nurturing talent and promoting education, the Hormuud Salaam Foundation has once again demonstrated its dedication to empowering the youth of Somalia. The foundation envisions a brighter future for these promising young minds.

Thanks to the remarkable generosity of the Hormuud Salaam Foundation, these gifted students will be able to pursue their desired fields of study at their preferred universities, without being burdened by financial constraints. In addition, the foundation will provide continuous training sessions and equip the students with laptops to enhance their learning experience.

In August, Abdullahi Nur Osman, the Chairman of the Hormuud Salaam Foundation, addressed the students prior to their examination and acknowledged that this annual scholarship program was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Hormuud Telecom and Salaam Somali Bank. The initiative enables Somali high school graduates, who face financial difficulties, to pursue higher education.

Ismail Yusuf Osman, the Director of the Higher Education Department at the Ministry of Education, praised the Hormuud Salaam Foundation for conducting the scholarship examination in an open and fair manner. Director Ismail also encouraged other companies to follow the foundation’s inspiring example by creating similar opportunities for the youth of Somalia.
