Havertz Struggles to Find the Target
Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara expressed his thoughts on Kai Havertz’s performance in the Community Shield final during an interview with ‘talkSPORT’. O’Hara criticized the German player and didn’t hold back in his assessment.
O’Hara’s comments came after a display from England midfielder Declan Rice, who recently joined Arsenal in a £105 million move from West Ham. Rice showed composure on the field, and another new recruit, Timber, performed solidly at left-back. However, Havertz failed to meet expectations and was wasteful in Arsenal’s two best chances to take the lead.

With Gabriel Jesus recovering from knee surgery, Havertz is expected to lead Arsenal’s attack. However, his performance in the Community Shield final did little to prove his worth to his new club, leaving much to be desired.
Unsurprisingly, Havertz faced heavy criticism on social media for his lackluster performance against Manchester City in the final. O’Hara was one of the voices expressing disappointment with Havertz’s performance on ‘talkSPORT’.
According to O’Hara, Havertz consistently fails to make a significant impact when it matters most, despite his ability to provide hold up play and work hard. O’Hara believes that Arsenal needs to address this issue promptly, especially with Gabriel Jesus being injury-prone.
