Jack Grealish and Trent Alexander-Arnold had to withdraw from the England squad for their upcoming matches against Ukraine and Scotland due to injuries they sustained. Grealish was unable to participate in Manchester City’s victory over Fulham, while Alexander-Arnold had to be substituted during Liverpool’s win against Aston Villa due to a hamstring problem.

According to the English Football Association, both players arrived at St. George’s Park on Monday but were subsequently removed from the squad after their injuries were evaluated.

England’s match against Ukraine, which is part of the Euro 2024 qualifiers, will take place in Wroclaw, Poland on Saturday. Then, they will have a friendly match against Scotland in Glasgow on September 12th to commemorate the 150th anniversary of their first-ever fixture.

No replacements have been added to Gareth Southgate’s squad. The team is currently in a good position to qualify for Euro 2024, having earned maximum points in their first four qualifiers.
