FC Barcelona recruits young German talent Noah Darvich
Barcelona officially announced the acquisition of Noah Darvich from Freiburg for a fee of 2.5 million euros. The contract is valid until June 30th and includes a release clause of 1 billion euros. While the club has not provided specific details, journalist Fabrizio Romano suggests that the deal could potentially reach 7.5 million euros, based on performance-related bonuses.
Noah Darvich, who has impressed in Germany during his time at Freiburg, is now the latest addition to Barcelona’s squad. He will join Barcelona’s reserve team until June 2026, following a transfer worth 2.5 million euros.

Although the exact financial terms have not been disclosed by Barcelona, it is reported that the deal may cost three times the initial fee, including an additional five million euros in performance-based incentives.
Darvich will join Barcelona Atletic in the third division and their upcoming season will commence on August 27th with a match against SD Logrones. Prior to that, the team has a friendly match scheduled against Valencia Mestalla on August 19th, which could mark Darvich’s debut for the club. This would be his first professional experience outside of Germany, where he has played throughout his career.
