Somalia postpones Somali Football Association management vote following complaints from sporting activities ministry

Mogadishu (AX) – Somalia’s Cabinet of intrinsic assurance on Tuesday issued a directive canceling the Somali Football Federation (SFF) management election.

“As a result, the Cabinet of Exercises informs the Cabinet of intrinsic assurance to cancel the parallel elections scheduled for February 1, 2023.”
The current president of the SFF, Ali Abdi Mohamed (Ali Shiine), was accused by other SSF members of trying to hold a “fastened election” through which he would emerge because the winner.

Shiine’s predecessor, Abdiqani Pronounced Arab, was unceremoniously fired for abuse of potential for the duration of a rare congress in December 2021.
