Somali restaurant closed after racist assaults in Turkey

The co-owners of the Somali restaurant SAAB Cafe within the capital Ankara’s central Kızılay neighborhood, Muhammed İsa Abdullah and Messi Karakaya, introduced on December 16 that their enterprise was closed amid racist assaults.

Abdullah shared images of his restaurant, with the “closed” banner on the finish saying, “Introduction, development, conclusion.”

Karakaya mentioned sarcastically “Now you got rid of us and you solved all the problems. Thank you.”

Up to now, Somali companies have been the goal of a fascist assault in Ankara’s central Kızılay district, following a Turkish newspaper’s racist experiences about Somali nationals.

The police painted SAAB Cafe’s indicators white with the justification that the inexperienced, yellow and purple colours “reminiscent of a terrorist organization”.
