Dahabshiil recognised for its function in supporting females’s entrepreneurship

Money switch organisation Dahabshiil has been recognised for its function in supporting and constructing the ability of females entrepreneurship.

During a ceremony to rejoice International Women’s Day, the function of Dahabshiil via its subsidiary organisation Microdahab was credited for aiding females in small micro-enterprises to construct their organisations.

At a ceremony in Hargeisa, the Chief Executive Officer of Dahabshiil Group Abdirashid Duale was honoured for his continued dedication to empowering females in enterprise and specially these in small micro-enterprises.

Duale stated Dahabshiil will double its efforts closer to the betterment of females in enterprise inside the Horn of Africa and East Africa.

“Part of our mission as Dahabshiil is to empower women in Africa to grow in their business entrepreneurship,” stated Duale.

He spoke on the occasion celebrating the Entrepreneurship of Women and Scholars from the Chevening Awards (FCDO) in Northern Somalia’s capital Hargeisa.

A message posted on the organisation’s Facebook web page stated, “Dahabshiil will continue to support Chevening Awards (FCDO) students and women entrepreneurs.

At the function, the local community praised the steps taken by the Dahabshiil company to encourage the community, especially in the area of women’s entrepreneurship.

“Empowering women entrepreneurs leads to economic growth and positive social change. For example, they inspire future generations of girls to follow their dreams and reach their full potential. Let’s support women’s business!” stated Farhan Hassan.
