Everton player Demarai Gray transfers to Al-Ettifaq
Jamaican international Demarai Gray, who previously played for Everton in the Premier League, has made a move to Saudi Arabia to join Al-Ettifaq under the guidance of Steven Gerrard. In an amusing announcement on Thursday, Al-Ettifaq unveiled Gray as their latest signing.
Having been trained at Birmingham, the 27-year-old first gained recognition during his time at Leicester, notably participating in the Foxes’ Champions League campaign in the 2016/17 season. Following a short and unsuccessful stint with Bayer Leverkusen, Gray joined Everton, where he impressively scored 12 goals in 75 appearances.
Gray’s move to the Saudi Arabian team is valued at approximately €10 million, and he is set to stay there for the next four seasons under Steven Gerrard’s leadership. He will be in the company of former Premier League players Jordan Henderson and Moussa Dembele, who have also joined Al-Ettifaq.
